This year, the Technical University of Sofia proudly showcased two projects: SEARCH (https://fresher-researchersnight.bg/en/112363/) in Bulgaria and Science Goes To School https://eventos.upct.es/…/noche-europea-de-los…, the latter in partnership with the @Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena as part of the @European University of Technology alliance (https://www.tu-sofia.bg/university/3105 ).
The European Researchers’ Night, an annual event held on September 29th, brings together millions of visitors across various countries to learn more about current scientific developments and their application in everyday life.
During the European Researchers’ Night at the @Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena, the students of the Student Innovation Hub at @Technical University of Sofia demonstrated their project “Solar Hive”. The project displays the application of modern technologies in green energy and monitoring systems, which can be used in beekeeping. This scientific development involved students from different @Technical University of Sofia faculties: Georgi Balev from the Faculty of Electronic Engineering and Technologies; Miroslav Nikolov from the Faculty of Computer Systems and Technologies; Nikolina Vladimirova from the Electrical Engineering Faculty; and Tsvetoslav Iliev from Computer Systems and Technologies. During the event, the stand of TU-Sofia students was visited by a high-ranking delegation led by the Rector of @Technical University of Sofia with representatives of the @Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena and the @Université de Technologie de Troyes. Professor Ivan Kralov expressed his admiration and encouraged the students, emphasizing the importance of research and innovation for the prosperity of modern society.
