Re-establishing the Role of European Universities in Society: The Case of EUt+

This paper explores how universities can strengthen their role as socially engaged institutions through more effective science communication, public dialogue, and research visibility. Developed as a joint work of colleagues working in the field of science communication and promotion of the European University of Technology alliance from Technical University of Sofia and Technological University Dublin, the study analyses current communication practices across European technical universities and proposes a collaborative model for promoting research and innovation to wider society. The paper highlights the importance of strategic communication, international cooperation, and human-centred innovation in building stronger connections between universities, students, researchers, industry, and citizens.
