University of Cassino and Southern Lazio (UNICAS)

Established in 1979, UNICAS is an Italian public University strategically located between Rome and Naples counting more than 7500 students, 280 academic and 250 administrative staff spread across its five Departments of Civil and Mechanical Engineering, Economics and Law, Electrical and Information Engineering, Human, Social and Health Sciences, Humanities and Philosophy. UNICAS offers 39 Bachelor’s and Master’s programs and 5 Ph.D. schools. With 9 programs (6 Master’s and 3 Bachelor’s) entirely taught in English and more than 1500 international students from 58 different nationalities enrolled in 2023-24, UNICAS is now established as a district for International Studies, a significant excellence among the Italian Universities.

UNICAS also plays a pivotal role in research and technological transfer fostering public engagement within its local region, Southern Lazio. Through ongoing partnerships with governmental bodies, businesses, and community organizations, UNICAS actively promotes innovation and creativity, cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset throughout society. This concerted effort enhances prospects not only for the town of Cassino, UNICAS headquarter, but also for the other two cities where the University operates: Frosinone, and Gaeta.
